Initiative of the Kurdish Film Commission, the Kurdish Film Fund is a grant initiative dedicated to supporting the development, production, co-production, post-production and distribution of Kurdish short, medium-length, feature films and TV series in the Kurdistan region of Iraq and around the world through two annual funding cycles.
The Fund also aims to expand beyond their borders Kurdish projects by connecting them with international opportunities.
The Fund supports projects through both financial grants and tailored professional support designed to strengthen their artistic and production potential and maximize their chances of success.

The Kurdistan Film Fund backs Kurdish stories from development through to distribution. It opens twice a year to shorts, features and TV series. Every selected project gets professional support alongside the grant.
The Kurdistan Film Fund (KFF) exists to empower Kurdish filmmakers, strengthen the local audiovisual industry, and connect Kurdish stories with international audiences. We believe cinema creates culture, employment, dialogue and opportunity, while contributing to the long-term development and international visibility of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq.
